Development Team
Developed by Crosland, one the Southeast's leading diversified real estate companies, Griffin Plaza's blend of historic properties with a new, sleek modern structure makes it both the oldest and the newest landmark in The Gulch.
At Crosland, our goal is to create a unique sense of place. We design, develop and manage properties that make our communities better places to live, work and shop. And we are an innovator in multi- and mixed-use properties, developing and managing residential and commercial projects, which include condominium communities, apartment communities, and retail, office and industrial space.
Griffin Plaza is the third development Crosland has announced in The Gulch, and it is the company's second LEEDTM-registered project. Crosland is developing Terrazzo, a LEED pre-certified mixed-use development with condominium homes, retail and office space at 700 12th Ave. S. Terrazzo is under construction and slated for completion in fall, 2008. www.terrazzonashville.com . The company also has announced 701 12th, a working name for a 16-story, contemporary residential project across the street from Terrazzo, which is still in the early design stage.
Hastings Architecture Associates and Manuel Zeitlin Architects are the architectural firms for Griffin Plaza. The design concept preserves the historic houses and borrows from their late 19th-century architectural style for the design of the street level portion of the new structure. Rick and Sheryl Horton, former owners of the Griffin houses, are development partners in the project with Crosland.
Hawkins Partners, a landscape architecture firm, is designing the pocket park. And the Parent Company is the general contractor for the project.
